Lisa Renee Reed is a visual artist who explores the universal language of human emotion through a deeper exploration of self and environment. Her photographic images are aesthetic responses that convey her emotional connection to the people, places and landscapes she encounters. Lisa studied Fashion Design at Ryerson Polytechnic University and graduated with a Bachelors of Applied Arts Degree in 1997. Her photographic studies have been at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto 1999-2001, and at the Toscana Photographic Workshop in Italy 2002. Later she pursued her studies in Expressive Art Therapy and graduated from ISIS Canada in 2005. Over the past ten years, Lisa's work experience has been in Costume Design for film, television, theatre and dance. Her imagery has explored the parallels of her work experience behind the scenes with her passion for photography, behind the lens. Branching into the performing arts with her photography, her work has been published in theatre programs, on theatre websites and for artists' promotional material. Lisa is the founder of In Focus Studio offering photo-based outreach initiatives to children and youth that integrate the expressive arts with the photographic medium. Lisa is a native of Victoria, British Columbia, and currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada. |
